Office to Grow Operation
ADAPTIVE RE-USE
Professional Work (2021)
Jackson, MISSISSIPPI
Conceptual first draft of an adaptive re-use to convert former Cal-Maine Foods Office Building located at 3320 West Woodrow Wilson Avenue in Jackson, Mississippi into a cannabis grow operation. The following set of plans were drafted for conceptual use for preliminary planning and budgeting purposes. Additional information, revisions, and modifications would be needed if used for construction drawings. These plans provided the owner, grow operator, and the general contractor with a general layout of how the building could be renovated for a grow operation.
The modifications considered were to enclose and/or secure any glazing for security and privacy along the exterior envelope. In addition, the removal of the private offices to open up the space for larger grow rooms. In total the grow operator requested two (2) vegetation rooms, two (2) flowering rooms, one (1) trim room and in the mezzanine the dry rooms would be located. Floor drains and/or the utilization of existing floor drains would be used for vegetation and flowering rooms.
